2nd Chance Camaro 1970 Budget Build 2017-01-17T17:44:50Z http://2ndchancecamaro.com/feed/atom/ WordPress Marty <![CDATA[Sema Pictures]]> http://2ndchancecamaro.com/?p=914 2017-01-17T17:44:50Z 2013-11-04T20:25:09Z Robert McGaffin was kind enough to get me a few pictures of the car before I arrive tomorrow night. As you can tell
from the pictures Kenny’s picture taking skills are really really bad.

Marty <![CDATA[Interior is complete]]> http://2ndchancecamaro.com/?p=905 2013-10-31T16:03:32Z 2013-10-31T16:03:32Z I am in love the Guages from Autometers Custom Shop and I think they fit very nice in the Anvil Carbon Fiber Dash Insert.

The guys at TMI custom made the rear seat to match the front seats. Both Seats were made in leather instead of vinyl. They were a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with them on future projects.

And yes that is a Marquez package tray.

The center console is complete less cup holder & iPhone holder.

You can see the Kicker Speakers sitting on the floor waiting to find there way into the 2nd Gen Kick Panels.

These are the stock seats updated with the TMI seat foam.

The 4 Point harness are from Seat Belt Planet and they are DOT approved. So they are legal to drive in all 50 states. Plus they are very comfortable. I have used there stuff on my last 4 projects.

The door Panels are complete less red strap door pulls but that is not going to happen till after Sema.

And yes we painted the Stainless Steel Tiger cage red.

Marty <![CDATA[Interior is getting closer]]> http://2ndchancecamaro.com/?p=891 2013-10-30T14:52:47Z 2013-10-30T14:52:47Z Everything comes down to the wire and that seems to be a SEMA thing.

Kenny had a friend come over and install the headliner and lay down the padding over the Boom Mat and there new Under Carpet Lite – Sound Absorbion & Insulation. Of course we don’t have any pictures because Kenny was in a rush. I am not sure if they would have been worth posting because of his mad Camera skills.

After seeing the pictures of Ed Capens dash I asked Kenny if it would be possible to wrap the dash on the car.

Anyone need a stock set of door panels it looks like we are making custom ones.

and Thank god we order the seat covers from TMI Products this will sure spead things up.

Marty <![CDATA[Kenny starting the Interior]]> http://2ndchancecamaro.com/?p=881 2013-10-29T20:52:34Z 2013-10-29T20:42:45Z Kenny decided to take on the interior on the car. He was able to complete the interior in this car in a little over 4 weeks and remember, Kenny’s shop is only open in the evening and weekends.
Jumped on Billet Specialties website and ordered up some more parts for the car.
And lets not forget the most important stuff. Sound control from DEI ( www.designengineering.com ). When you want an old car to feel like a new car take a look at what DEI has to offer. From sound deadening to heat protection there stuff is top notch.

Marty <![CDATA[Carbon 34]]> http://2ndchancecamaro.com/?p=877 2013-10-28T19:30:02Z 2013-10-28T19:30:02Z Coming from the Syclone Typhoon world you make some great Friends. Michael King was kind enough to help us out when the other vendor decided he would just keep the money and not make the door handles for the project. When I asked Mike he said, “Sure no problem. Just send me the handles and I will take care of you.” If you get a chance take a look at his facebook page and see what he’s working on.

https://www.facebook.com/carbon.thirtyfour

I think the door handles have completed the look on the car.

and of course he had to make the lower radiator hose.

Marty <![CDATA[It’s all in the Details]]> http://2ndchancecamaro.com/?p=865 2013-10-28T14:36:05Z 2013-10-25T14:31:35Z We ordered up a set of cross drilled & vented rotors from Tobin at Kore3 to complete the look on the upgraded brakes.

Upgraded the stock plug wires to MSD

Kenny wasn’t feeling the headlight buckets so he painted them but left a small bit of chrome on them. He also installed the headlights from DSE to complete the look.

and let us not forget about the bike.

Marty <![CDATA[Optima Battery Cover]]> http://2ndchancecamaro.com/?p=861 2013-10-25T16:48:57Z 2013-10-24T16:43:02Z Now that we have that trick Billet Battery tray and that ultra reliable Optima battery. Kenny decides last minute that he wants to make some more cool parts for the underhood. And of course he installed the Ride Tech Fender braces which were the first part I purchased for this car.

Since he did the battery side you have to do something with the washer tank.
